Rapeseed wax is a natural, renewable plant wax, grown in the UK and EU. This wax is not associated with deforestation. And it’s not treated with pesticides, or genetically modified in any way.

About Wildlight
Wildlight was born out of my fascination with the power of scent – and candles. Smell is one of the most primal and mysterious of our senses, evoking feelings and memories. Combining this with the light and warmth of a candle flame can help us connect with an ever-present calm. This ignited my interest in making them several years ago. I wanted to use rapeseed wax as it’s a locally grown and more sustainable alternative to other waxes. I was soon hooked on perfection. I’ve learnt that creating a well made candle takes patience and persistence. But a few years, (and a few hundred candles) later, Wildlight Candles is here. I’m happy to share some of the best with you.
Candle care
For an even burn, the first time you light your candle, burn it until the wax melts to the edge, (3-4 hours). Rapeseed wax is a slow burning wax, so you may find it takes a while to burn to the edge, and your candle lasts longer! Before you re-light your candle, trim the wick to 5mm.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Burn candles out of reach of children and pets. Do not burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Only burn candle on a level, heat resistant surface. Never burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Extinguish when 5mm of wax remains.
